The Holy Land

The Holy Land is JW's personal favorite of all the pictures he's made during the past ten years, and one of the most popular. The futility of depending on misplaced devotion to aesthetic appliances to gratify needs that in fact arise from the shining realm is given an intense workout in this picture, which calls for its own obliteration in the name of transymbolic rationality. Comes with a full and detailed explanation of the meaning of all symbolic elements- even the little spheres on the floor!
